Expanding upon our line of women's specific light hiking product is the Sky Lake Mid eVent. Comments about Sky Lake Mid eVent:
I use these to walk mixed terrain - I usually walk 1 - 4 hours a day, so comfortable shoes are important.
I have quite narrow feet, and I've always liked Teva walking sandals, so when I saw these boots in the sale I decided to give them a try.
Hard to get the perfect fit - I'd have liked to be able to try them in a shop, really. I ordered 8's, which were were a bit too short, so swapped for 9's, which feel rather roomier than I'd like. I'll be wearing them all winter with thick socks though, and generally the fit is great.
It's a bit of a palaver to get them on if you have high arches. This is compensated for by the fact that you won't want to take them off!
They adjust really well over the foot and are very supportive, I feel very secure in them. They also feel well ventilated and dry.
Too soon to know what they will be like in winter rain and mud, so I can't comment on how they will wear, waterproofness, or how easy they are to clean - I've always had plain leather walking boots which can be scrubbed off and polished, so I'm a bit nervous about the nubuck and mesh!
- Feels half size too big
- Feels true to width
