I wear sandals for as much of the year as possible. Molded-in toe ridges are never in the right place for me (hear that Birkenstock?), so these are great. The footbed has a slight texture to it, enough to ensure grip, not like some sandals with inner textures like cheese-graters. Straps are good with a smooth lining, not had any chafing. Sole is bouncy-soft yet surprisingly durable and shows no sign of becoming permanently compressed, unlike my regular Universals. Glad I got a pair of the Terra-Float Universals, same great sole. I've walked miles in towns and parks in these, no blisters or strains. Also noticed the Sanborn Universal seems to have an updated version of the Float sole with the simple straps I prefer, so might try those.
