I took my gf hiking in Yosemite and these boots are great! Super light and I stepped on a few icy patches with no slipping issues! I would recommend them to any guy looking for a comfortable good looking boot.

Nice boot, narrow tho

By

from Richmond VA

Verified Buyer

Pros

  • Leather, construction, aesthetic

Cons

  • Narrow footbed

Best Uses

  • hiking, walking, rainy weather

I approve of everything about this boot but I have tried several pairs and they were all too narrow. I have a pretty wide foot, and sadly for me this is a common thing with outdoorsy sneaker boots. If your feet are on the narrow side I would recommend these over any others.

GREAT SHOE: lightweight, aesthetic, comfortable, functional

By

from Tennessee

Verified Buyer

Pros

-Lightweight: This boot has about the same weight on foot as an average sneaker. I feel no klunkiness
or noticeable weight when wearing it. It performs exactly as expected.

-Aesthetic: Let's face it, no hiking boot is gonna be the best looking shoe ever. When looking at this
product, I considered getting heavier duty hiking boots (Vasque), or more stylish
sneakerboots (Nike or Asics Tiger). This was by far the best combination of
performance and style. The look has really grown on me, and the more the leather is
broken in the better the boot looks. I originally anticipated to wear these only for hiking,
but have found myself slipping them on to wear around town as well.

-Comfortable: This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. I've had planter
fasciitis so the added arch support really helps. The weight and the
ankle support allow me to walk in these for hours.

-Functional: The shoe performs like a dream. It's not only comfortable for hours, but completely water
proof as advertised. I submerged it in a creek as a test, so Teva's desctiption speaks the
truth. The ankle support is great for hiking but not too abrasive for everyday wear.

Cons

-Temp: I've read on other reviews that the boot doesn't hold up in cold weather,
but I live in Tennessee and can't test this. However, it's nothing
pair or two of good wool socks couldn't fix.

-Backpacking:These are probably not the best shoes for backpacking. They're not really meant to
support you with an additional 60+ pounds. It's safer to stick to one to two day hikes.
